After Washing
@ –
Hi i've been real busy recently so i didn't get round to posting an after washing pic.
So here it is.
AFTER WASHING
What do you think?
Anyway here's a question for you all.
Do you or do you know anyone with locks which are 2 years or older?
I would really like to see some pictures of mature locks.
Also how about some comments about what your dreads mean to you and why you wear them?
Top Tip Number 6
6. Try not to get into the habit of playing with your hair, rather have a special time each day to do your care routine.
Don't forget you can view how my locks changed over the first year here:

Hey guys and gals how ya'll doing.
So after my waxing experiment (see last post), i think it is obvious that waxing really helps to get your hair looking neater.
Having said that you must not use to much and make sure you wash your locks in between waxing.
Which brings me to my next subject washing!
It is an age old myth that people who have dreads do not wash them.
Now as you all know this is just not true and more to the point washing your locks actually improves the locking process.
I cannot make this any clearer
WASH THOSE LOCKS!
But remember to make sure you dry those locks out completly or your gonna have problems
So to highlight my point i will give some new pics before and after washing.
So here we are:
Before
I'll be washing them today so i'll post again soon.
Finally i hope your all watching and supporting the LIVE 8 concerts around the world, we can all make this happen!
Make sure you sign the petition!!

Well hi everyone, the subject of this blog is coping with the hot weather with locks on our heads!!
It's real hot over here in sunny England at the moment and i could do with a few tips on keeping cool with "a head full a dreads"
I use a Tea Tree Oil spritz sprayed directly on my scalp, it really helps cool that head down!
When it is hot it can sometimes be tempting to shave the lot off, how do you all cope with "dread apathy"?
Any suggestions?

4. After the first 6 to 8 months you will have a few (lots if you didn’t band your roots) loose hairs. The best way to sort this out is to crotchet them into the nearest dread. You can also crotchet two small dreads together.
Anyway i have just waxed my locks as i haven't done it for a while, so i'd thought i'd do an experiment.
In my experience it takes a while for my locks to settle after waxing so i'm gonna do a before waxing, after waxing and 1 week after waxing photos.
So then here they are before waxing:
This is my locks straight after, looking waxy

Here they are 3 days later and looking good

I'll see you all soon.
